He is survived by wife Ilene Bates, Son's Ronald Bates, Donnie Bates, Lonnie Bates, sisters Ethal Parks, Brother Justin Bates, nephew's Randy Bates, James Headdy, Step Son's Richard Arnot, Joseph Hoffman, and Shawn Hoffman.
