Akeem Elijah Gamble passed away on September 22, 2022.
Akeem was born on November 18, 1988, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Akeem would often greet others with a joyful smile and a joke from time to time. To those who called Akeem family or friend knew his passion for watching CNN and staying on top of the latest news topics, his love for music, his passion for cooking, and his loyalty to the Tennessee Titans.
Akeem is survived by his son Akeem “AJ/Lucky” Gamble Jr.; mother, Valerie Kinnard; father, Speed Gamble Jr.; his older sister Kanesha Thurman; his stepmother, Anita Gamble; his stepsister, Monica Jones; grandparents, Evelyn Kinnard, Speed Gamble Sr., and Charlie Mae Gamble; uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins, and his lifelong friend, Jordan Matthews.
He joins his late grandfather, Elijah Kinnard, and younger brother, Alejandro Akerson, on his next journey.
In honor of Akeem’s love for music, we quote one of his favorite artists Eminem, “We’ll walk this road together through the storm, whatever weather cold or warm. Just lettin’ you know that you’re not alone.”
With these words, his loved ones wish to join in a celebration of Akeem’s life. A public viewing will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
