Obituary for Barbara Jeanne Lamb Rodriguez
Barbara Jeanne O’Donal, Lamb, Rodriguez was born on September 17th, 1934 in Homewood, Illinois to Charles F. and Carol E. O’Donal.
She married Fredrick Norman Lamb on June 1st, 1953 and raised 6 children in Colorado Springs, Colordo, which was no easy task!! Deborah [Lamb] Anderson, Patti [Lamb] Silvers, Bonnie [Lamb] Prohaska, Frederick Stephen Lamb, Kathleen [Lamb] Vigil, Carole [Lamb] McGee.
For many years Fred and Barbara ran Budget Rent-A-Car. Fred and Barbara were married for 37 years when Fred passed away July 12th, 1990.
Barbara was involved in many church ministries over the years including singing in the choir and solos. She hosted many youth activities in their home as well as Child Evangelism 5-Day Clubs. She was active in Christian Women’s Club. She wanted to make sure that all of us Know Jesus!!
Barbara married Richard Rodriguez on December 2nd, 1994.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carol O’Donal and her 1st husband, Fred Lamb. She is survived by: her 2nd husband of 25 years, Richard Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her sisters Carol Macherey (and family) of California, and MaryEllyn Neas (and family) of Illinois; her 6 children and their families including: 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, as well as Richard’s 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, of whom she loved as her own.
Barbara went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Friday, October 16th, 2020
