Obituary for Cathy Marie Soto
Cathy Marie Soto, 54, born in Fresno, California, on October 22, 1966, and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado; she passed away January 18, 2021. Cathy is survived by her husband, Jorge Soto of Durango, Mexico; her five children: Elisabeth Armijo, Manuel Montes Jr., Lorena Montes, and Abelina and Adriana Soto, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her three grandsons: Ezekiel and Jax’n Resch, and Aiden Montes of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cathy was a very passionate CNA, and was very dedicated to her work, her residents, and her coworkers that became her family so easily.
She enjoyed life by spending so much time with all her kids and grandsons, and stealing stuff from her sister’s house when they would visit. She loved being silly and dancing and singing while cooking or driving in the car with her kids. She had the biggest heart, and even though she would let you know what she felt, she was a very wonderful individual and would do anything for anybody in need. Her grandsons were her pride and joy. Her family was her strength and her true joy and passion in her life. She shared a unique bond with not only each of her children, but with her grandsons as well.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rocha, whom was also her best friend and partner in crime. They were inseparable and had such and unique kind of love and bond with her.
Her family is given great peace knowing that she is once again reunited with her mother, an also knowing that we have gained not just one guardian angel, but we now have two.
