Obituary for Charles William "Bill" Fix

The evening of November 27, 2020 we lost a wonderful and loving man by the name of Bill Fix at the age of 75 years old.

Bill was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Charles and Caroline Fix. Bill was the oldest of four brothers.
In 1964 he signed up for the Navy reserves when he was 17. By the time he was 18 he enlisted and became part of the Seabee team, which he was very proud to be a part of. This is where he started his career as a Truck Driver. Carefree Trucking and American Family Furniture were a couple of the trucking companies that he had worked for.

In 1965 he married the love of his life of 55 years, Gail Fix. They had three children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill was a hard worker and had many skills. He had a love for his family and close friends like no other. You could listen to the stories he would tell for hours, because he had more than just one. While he would tell his stories, he would have a smile on his face with a laugh that followed. The stories that didn't have a laugh were usually ones that you could learn a lesson from. When he was home, he would enjoy camping, riding motorcycles and taking trips with his wife, all while spending as much time with his family and friends as he could. He had many adventures on that paved highway for work and for play.

In 2002, Bill started an annual Harley ride weekend trip with all the men in the family along with some close friends.

The 2006 adventure was a 3 week ride that would lead him and his two sons to Washington, D.C. This was the motorcycle ride to the Veterans Wall.

Bill and Gail would go on vacations with their daughter and her family.

Bill is Loved by many and will be missed by all. His compassionate love and stories that would make you laugh will be missed.

Bill is survived by: his wife, Gail; his daughter, Sheryl (Jack) Harvey; his sons Dan Fix (Kendra Atkins), Rick (Christy) Fix; his brother Howard (Barbara) Fix; his mother-in-law Virginia Saucedo; his sisters-in-law Linda Lowder and Betty Fix; his grandchildren, Matt, Shandra (David), Shane, Bo (Alysia), Tristin, Courtney, and Adam, and his great grandchildren: Dominick, Lorenzo, Kim, Adelyn and Paylsee, along with many other family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father Charles; his mother Caroline; his brothers Ron and Wayne, and his grandsons Wayne and Aaron Fix.
