Obituary for Edith "Pokey" Worley

Edith Worley also known as “Pokey” passed away at home July 21, 2022, in Colorado Springs. She was born on January 26, 1950, in Paris, Tennessee to the union of Rio “Rita” Paschall and Claude York. Edith grew up in Chicago, Illinois then residing in Arizona and Colorado. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 25 years making it home for the rest of her family for many years.

Edith had a great passion for spending time on her computer. She loved to make collages and edit fun photos for her family. Ms. Worley’s favorite animal was a wolf, she collected many wolf themed items. Much like a wolf’s family-oriented nature, Edith took delight in spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she listened to Alan Jackson, one of many country singers that she loved.

Ms. Worley was preceded in death by parents Rio “Rita” Paschall and Claude York; siblings, Roger York, Pamela Royal, Susan Bond, and Claudia Skilton; son in law, Edward Godsey Jr.; husband, Houston Worley Jr.; long time best friend, Franklin Wright and daughter Diane Gail Wright.

She leaves to Cherish her memories to sisters, Judy Thompson, Paula Lemear; brother, David York; children, Rita Godsey, Jason Worley and Loretta Renner; grandchildren, Russ King, Scott King, Aden Godsey, Branden Jones, Matthew and Lyric Smith along with Caleb and Justice Renner, she leaves behind great grandchildren Amara and LynnFreja King.

She was very proud to be apart of a five generation family and will be missed by each and every one of them.
