Obituary for Edward Tompkins
Mr. Edward Tompkins peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, December, 16th. He was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia on October, 28th, 1932, to the parentage of Roosevelt Tompkins and Marie Dennis.
He was preceded in death by Roosevelt Tompkins (father), Marie Tompkins (mother), Yulonda Tompkins (wife), David Tompkins (son), and Madison Tompkins (granddaughter).
Mr. Tompkins is survived by: Michael & Susan (son and daughter-in-law), Denise (Jai) (daughter and son-in-law), Colorado Springs Colorado; three grandchildren: Michael, Eddie, and Madilyn; and numerous GOD children.
Ed loved serving the LORD in church, spending time with his family, watching and talking sports, playing golf, running his businesses, history, and telling a good story.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ed’s name to the Fischer House, at fischerhouse.org.
Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church; 3615 Vickers Drive, Colorado Springs, CO, 80918, on Friday, December, 20th, 2019. There will be a viewing at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 10:00 a.m. Burial with full Military Honors will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 South Hancock immediately following the services.
