Obituary for Ingeburg Ursula Prentiss

Ingeburg “Inge” Prentiss (Schuller) was born on the 23rd of April 1925 in Zittau, Germany to Gottfried and Gertrud Schuller. She passed peacefully into heaven on December 24th, 2021. Inge grew up in Germany with her family. She met (and subsequently married) Norval Prentiss when they worked together at the Army Ordinance School where she was a secretary and he, an American instructor. They were married for 61.5 years and had three children together prior to his passing in 2010.
She traveled to many military bases with Norval and loved swimming in the Mediterranean while they were stationed in Italy. Inge was employed over the years at KKTV, Spear Engineering, Louart Press, and the American Numismatic Association before her retirement.
The couple settled in Black Forest, Colorado 60 years ago and became longtime members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs. Inge loved being with her family and enjoyed her Pyrenees dogs over the years. Over her lifetime, she also enjoyed playing the organ at Faith Lutheran Church in Security, Colorado and at an Army military church in Italy.
Preceded in her death were her parents, husband, sister Jutta Annen, and son George. She is survived by her daughter Chris Veatch (Ace), son Robert (Carol), 7 grandchildren: Holly, Ryan (Leslie), Tiffany (Alex) , Angela (Anthony), Nathan (Sierra), Melody, Kevin, and eight great grandchildren.
