Obituary for Jilene Inez Agthe
Jilene Inez Agthe entered into the presence of Our Lord and Saviour on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Erwin, and a sister, Gail Diane Harms.
She is survived by one daughter, Rene Gail Shank (Robert), four sons, Dale Robert, Kirk Richard (Robin), Scott Arthur (Debbie), and Todd Floyd (Stephanie); four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Jill, as she was best known, was born in Batavia, New York to Floyd and Marion Werner. She graduated Salutatorian in her Batavia High School class and attended University of Buffalo School of Nursing, as affiliated with Deaconess Hospital. Jill was active in church. She sang in choirs and her beautiful soprano voice was often sought for solos. She loved children and they loved her, so she was a popular Sunday School teacher and Public School room mother. Jill was an expert cook and seamstress. Noted for her sense of humor, she put a lot of good natured zest and energy into whatever task she undertook. But more than anything, she invested her life in being supportive of her hardworking husband and raising her five children.
