Obituary for Joe Richard "Rick" Santellana

Joe Richard “Rick” Santellana passed away at 62 years of age on April 19, 2022, with his wife by his side. Rick was born on July 9, 1959, in Beeville, Texas to Felipe & Candelaria Santellana.

He graduated from Munday High School of Munday, Texas. Rick was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his siblings, children, and wife’s family.

Rick enjoyed cooking in all forms, visiting the casinos with his wife, and finding garage sales on warm weekends. Known for being generous and lighthearted he could easily bring a smile to any situation. Anyone lucky enough to strike up a conversation with him was sure to become a friend over time. Ever an avid Denver Broncos fan, he was known for his love of blue and orange.

Rick is survived by his wife, Alicia Santellana; sons, Rickey Paul (Melissa) Santellana, Randy Santellana and Rusty (Patrick) Santellana; granddaughter, Avery Santellana; sisters Dora (Eugene) Ramirez and Gloria (Billie) Wheeler; brother, Wally (Susan) Santellana; stepchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Felipe Paul Santellana.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday April 27, 2022, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday April 28, 2022, at Church for All Nations, 2188 Executive Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Interment immediately following the service at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
