Ken was born in Allen, Nebraska on May 4, 1928 to W.C. Ream and Opal Malcom Ream. He spent his early years in Nebraska and moved as a young boy to Manitou Springs, Colorado.
In 1947 he met and married Dorothea White. Together they raised five children during their 67 years of marriage. Ken retired as a machinist from the Timken Company, and then worked for several years as the caretaker for the Manitou Reservoir on Pikes Peak. He enjoyed auto racing and riding motorcycles, as well as camping vacations with his family.
Ken died peacefully in his sleep on August 13, 2020 at the age of 92. He is survived by his five children, Steven Ream and his wife Debra; Teresa Schuyler and her husband Jim; Leslie Holt; Michele Maul; and Brett Ream and his wife Laurie; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; his sister Shirley Baker and her husband Eugene. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Dorothea, and one granddaughter.
