Obituary

Mary Frances Hahn
June 22, 1924 – April 17, 2020

Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95.

Mary was born to Charles Kennedy and Charlotte Swan on June 22, 1924 on their farm in Calhan, Colorado. She attended Calhan school and graduated from Colorado Springs High School (Palmer High School) in 1942.

After graduation she worked at ENT Officers Club, Joy Hotel, and Metropolitan Life Insurance in Colorado Springs.

She married Maurice Hahn on November 4, 1949. They moved back to the farm in Calhan to take over the dairy. They had two children, Robert, “Bob”, and Patricia, “Pat”. They ran Hahn Dairy for 36 years until Maurice passed away in 1985 and then Bob took over the operation of the farm.

Mary is survived by her two children: son, Robert (Lora) Hahn and daughter, Patricia (Rick) (Hahn) Dunning. She has three grandchildren: Heather (Randy) Marshall, Kirkland (Brianne) Dunning and Marlo (Harold) Miller; four great-grandchildren: Kayla Marshall, Avery Dunning, Nolan McCrary and Ally (Clyde) Smith, and one great-great-grandchild, Eli Smith. She is also survived by one nephew, Charles Caldwell and his two children, Nicole Trujillo and Stacie Caldwell.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Maurice; her parents; sister, Neva Mae Caldwell; and her twin brother, Charles Kennedy Swan, Jr.

Due to COVID-19, private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.

I have many memories of spending the night at your house Patty and how gorgeous I always thought your mom looked all the time! Even in her " farm clothes"! Love and peace to you and Bob.
