Obituary for Melania Zarkovacki

Our dear "Tetka", (Serbian for "Aunt"), Melania Zarkovacki, was born in Sombor, Serbia, on March 26, 1937, to Lazar and Katica Zarkovacki. She was the 8th, in a family of 10 children. After finishing school, she was employed in the field of textiles.
When she was in her early 30's, accompanied by her mother, sister Jovanka, and her youngest brother, Peter, she moved to Germany, where her brother Vladimir lived. After a short while, sponsored by her brother Stevan, who lived in Akron, Ohio, the four of them immigrated to the United States. In the 1970's, they (except for Peter) moved to California. Her dear mother passed away in 1978, in Oceanside, where they resided. Melania and Jovanka were employed by Teledyne until 1993, when they moved to Colorado to join a few family members living there.
Her beloved sister, Jovanka, passed away in 2017, whose death, Melania was mourning for the rest of her life. The two sisters were very close, always together, whether working, or shopping (their favorite pastime), or going to church, which they attended faithfully.
The time came, that on July 20, 2019, she joined her sister in heaven, which was their mutual goal in life, and their yearned for, final destination.
Melania was preceded by her parents, and her siblings Milorad, Dragoljub, Vladimir, Mirko, and Jovanka. She is survived by her sibling Stevan, Peter, Danica, and Ljubica.
We will miss our "Tetka" dearly.
