Obituary for Michelle L. Miranda

Michelle L. (Vigil) Miranda was born on November 8, 1972, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Eduardo Jose Vigil and Maria Angela (Martinez). Surrounded by her loving husband and children, Michelle passed away at 49 years old on November 13, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Michelle grew up between Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming with her younger brother Michael Vigil and little sister Marcellina (Vigil) Sanchez. She met the love of her life, Don, married, and moved to Colorado Springs to raise a family. A devoted and selfless mother, she had three boys, Marcus Vigil-Miranda (married to Keziah), Jayden, Izaiah, and one daughter, Alicia (married to Steven Fogle). Even more so, she was a tender-loving grandmother to her only current grandchild, Genesis Grace Vigil-Miranda (daughter to Marcus and Keziah). Michelle is also survived by her parents, siblings and families, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws, Steve & Kathy Miranda.

Michelle was an incredibly generous, loyal, and hard-working woman. She adored being with her family, crafts & home design, Victorian culture & tea, and anticipating, decorating, & celebrating all things related to Christmas. Michelle enjoyed traveling and explored many of the places she always wanted to see throughout the years with her family. She was known as an incredibly gentle and warm-hearted woman who always lent a listening ear and advocated for all of those she met.

She excelled in her new short-lived career as a real estate agent and delighted in helping families achieve their dreams as homeowners, working endlessly to advocate and make it possible for them. She had a generous heart of gratitude and frequently served military families in her hometown. Michelle went to and/or graduated from Kennedy High School, Barnes Business College, Metro State, with most recently - Colorado Real Estate Academy of Colorado, mortage liceensing, and many other endeavors in finance and school education throughout her life. She belonged to many organizations/clubs/church groups and was a member of a philanthropic PEO sisterhood. Above all else, Michelle loved her Lord and Savior and would spend hours in her living room reading her Bible, journaling, and praying for her family, friends, and those hurting in our nation. Michelle’s heart broke for women involved in/effected by sex trafficing, and wanted them to experience the gentle, unconditional, empowering love of Jesus, and and dreamed of opening a safe house for those women and others involved in difficult domestic situations.

Her family hopes to one day continue that dream and bring it to life. Michelle’s influence and presence will be felt by many for years to come. She will be so deeply missed and never forgotten.
