Obituary for Patrick Dale Myers
Patrick Dale Myers passed away September 25, 2020 at the age of 63 years old.
Pat was born in Nuremburg, Germany, February 28, 1958 to Dale Edgar Myers and Ellen Myers. Dale met Pat’s mother on his first tour of duty in Germany while in the military and Pat was born on Dale’s second tour of duty in Germany. Pat’s Mother Ellen was a proud and strong German woman who had a very strong influence on Pat’s upbringing and life.
Pat was first introduced to Colorado Springs in 1967 when his father Dale was stationed there. This began his lifelong love of Colorado. Pat was a graduate of Manitou Springs High School in 1975, where Pat played both football and baseball for the Manitou Mustangs. Pat was also an active member of the Ski Club. Pat continued to love skiing throughout his life.
Pat spent one year of college in Gunnison, Colorado following graduation from high school, then worked in construction for many years through Colorado’s growing popularity and population. Pat really came into his own in later years, where he enjoyed being a personal chef and doing catering for large events.
Pat was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepfather. He is survived by his brother, Thomas O. Myers and his nephew Neil Thomas Myers, and two step-brothers Craig Smith and Jimmy Smith.
Pat was always available to help family and friends. Pat will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Pat’s remains will be cremated per his request. There are no services planned at this time.
