Paul James Isak, age 74, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2022. One of ten children, Paul was born in Vrsac, former Yugoslavia, on August 30, 1947. He emigrated to America by escaping a communist country along with his parents and younger sister Olga, at the age of 13. They settled in California. He gave his life to the Lord on December 26, 1971. At the age of 25, God led him to marry Anna Andras, from Yugoslavia. They were joined in marriage on December 10, 1972 and were married for 49 years. They moved to Colorado in 2002. They raised 7 children and have 21 grandchildren. The Lord called him into the ministry at the age of 40. He diligently served as a minister, counseling souls, and encouraging many in the ways of the Lord. His love of God moved him to speak about Jesus to all who would listen. It was evident that his love for the Lord was truly sincere, and he strived for the narrow way. He daily studied the Word of God wholeheartedly, knowing there was nothing else of more value. He regularly wore out cassette tapes of hymns to praise God.
Paul worked in the moving business and owned a company named A & P Professional Movers, after being employed by Bekins moving company. Without hesitation, he gladly moved many friends and family, even across the country. Paul was a semi-truck driver most of his life, delivering regular loads as well as double wide mobile homes.
Paul loved to help others. He often stopped on the side of the road for strangers in need. He enjoyed making salsa, fresh bread and donuts and shared them regularly with others. He was fond of gardening and traveling to visit loved ones. His grandkids brought him much joy and he impressed upon them the love of God's commandments and his desire for them to be baptized. He always wanted to make others happy and laugh. His love for the Lord, singing hymns, and zest for life will always be remembered.
He will be dearly missed by all his family and those whose lives he touched along his journey through this life. He truly left a lasting impression of the importance of serving the Lord. He is survived by his wife Anna and children, Janette (Nick) Zarkovacki - Caden, Devon, Connor, Brianna, Taylor; Paul (Pamela) Isak - Natalie, Daniella, Nolan, Luke, Gabriella, Michael, Samantha; Christine (John) Botosan - Jalyn, Leah, Kailey; Sandy (Danny) Montes - Isaiah, Layla, Olivia; David (Miranda) Isak; Michelle (Michael) Hrutka - Jude, Sophia, Abigail, and his youngest son Brian.
