Richard Keith Rice was born March 30, 1933 in Minatare, NE to Grace Conklin Rice and Ralph Emerson Rice.
Keith grew up in the Minatare and Scottsbluff area, graduating from Scottsbluff High School in 1951. He was on the football team and played trumpet for the band. He met and married the love of his life, Barbara Gene Johnston. They were happily married for 68 1/2 years!
Keith and Barbara owned and operated Art Craft Press for 50 years. They were proud of the quality of work they produced for their customers.
Keith was an active member of the Colorado Springs community. He was active in SerToMa (Service To Mankind) providing services to those who had less in life. He was an active member of several churches and the Republican party They instilled these same values in their children.
Keith loved photography, gardening, singing and music.
He is survived by his Bride Barbara; his daughters, Susan Kay McCloughan (Dale) and Sally Jo Moses (Dan); his grandchildren Stephanie Tyer (Travis), Amber Kay Corson (Jason), Brianne Simpson (Chad), Linsey Graham (Josh), Mikkela Rice and Zackory Rice; his great Grandchildren Tristan and Trevor Corson, Kensington Simpson, Ezra Graham, Kylee Tyer, Blake Brinkman, Kenzi Brinkman, Trey Tyer; one great-grandchild, Alena; two sisters-in-law, Connie Johnston and Lori Johnston, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Leo and Lila Johnston; his sisters, Inez Christiansen (Rex), Dorothy Bruce (Dave), Mary Lou Resielman (Bob) and Grayce Ann Lee (Jim); his son Ralph Stephen Rice; a son-in-law, Mark Folsom, and his in-laws Mary Ellen Walter (Hank), Robert Johnston (Erma), Betty Lou Metz, Leo Johnston (Joyce) Clifford Johnston, and Duane Johnston.
Services will be held Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at the Wilson Methodist Church at the Ranch. 6460 Flying W Ranch, Colorado Springs,
