Obituary for Robert James Gocha IV
Born on May 31, 1989, Robert James Gocha IV passed away on June 17, 2022 at a mere 33 years old.
He was known by everyone as “Ta” or “Robbie.” Ta was an avid jokester, but he an ever-present determination to provide for his family & make others happy. His love & kindness impacted all those around him. With him, you’d never feel like a stranger, annoyance, or burden. He always made time for others, & never failed to flash a smile or pass along a compliment to boost one’s mood & make them feel special.
Ta was down-to-earth, faithful & loyal. He literally put everyone before himself- so long as time wasn’t of the essence because he was ALWAYS late. It’s believed that the goofy things he did & said were meant to be our everlasting memory of him. While Ta would be honored at the magnitude of love & appreciation toward him, he’d want everyone to recall the good things in life and strive for happiness each & every day. He will be dearly missed & forever in the hearts of his many friends & extensive family.
Ta was preceded in death by six Grandparents, & is survived by 28 nieces & nephews; children Robert James Gocha V (12), Lucas Anthony Gocha (1½), Destiny Annmarie King (15); elder siblings Teresa Cole, Michael Norman Powell Jr., Amy Elizabeth Powell-Davisson, Tammy Jean Tafoya, Melissa Susman, Steven Roy Powell, Amanda Patricia Gocha; stepdad Christopher Faust; & parents Debbie Jean Powell, Robert James Gocha III.
