Ronald L. Davis passed away at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado from a COVID related illness.
Ron was born in Colorado Springs, where he spent most of his life. He attended Wasson High school where he was on the track team.
Ron began raising pigeons as a teenager and was involved in that hobby until his death. He took up rodeo while still in high school and loved horses and dogs. He was an outstanding team roper, horseman, self-taught artist, and carpenter. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Ron retired from El Paso County road and bridge crew, where he was a supervisor. He moved to Westcliff, where he lived close to his son, Matthew, and daughter-in-law, Megan. His new hobby was playing with his two precious grandchildren, Braelynn and Wesson.
In addition to Matthew and Megan and daughter Shae, Ron is survived by his parents, Leslie and Betty Davis; his brother Jerold; two grandchildren, Braelyn and Wesson; his partner, Donna Keese and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 10:30 am at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., in Colorado Springs. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Florissant, Colorado.
