Obituary for Susan Lee "Sue" Grippo
Susan “Sue” Lee Grippo, 64, of Fountain, Colorado, left this world on May 12, 2021 due to health complications.
Sue was born on June 6, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri to Junior and Evelyn Weismantel. She met her husband, Michael Grippo in 1976 when they became next door neighbors. They fell in love and were married in Colorado Springs on May 4, 1978. They later had two sons, Steve and Jessie.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Junior. She is survived by her loving husband, sons, her son-in-law Matthew Tarlton, granddaughter Isabella Grippo, brother Jerry Weismantel and many family and friends.
Her family will miss her loving spirit, her strong will to fight, and her unique sense of humor. Sue was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who gave all to her family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Blunt Mortuary at 2229 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
