Obituary for Yasu Sato Leong

A loving mother went to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 1, 2020 after years of battle with a hearr condition.

She was born Yasu (Yasuko) Sato on July 10, 1923 in Tokyo, Japan to A & G Sato.

After graduating from high school, she went to work at a bank in Tokyo.

She married Gee Leong during his tour of duty in Japan. Their last tour in Japan was on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa.

She was a member of the Kadena Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC), and served as the group's translator on their visits to the samitarium in 1973.

In 1977, Yasu and her husband Gee permanently moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the United States.

She is survived by her husband; a son Jim and a daughter, Diana.

A memorial service will be held at Southside Bible Chapel, 1725 South Wahsatch Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917, on Monday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m.
