I will never forget the summer that I was invited to go with Tristin's family to Canada to visit the rest of her family. It was a long drive in that mini van and I remeber falling asleep in Nebraska looking at the wheat fields and waking up a few hours later to more wheat fields and Wayne saying, "we are STILL in Nebraska",
Spending time with Tristin at her grandparents house gave me so many memories like stilling at the kitchen table eating lettuce fresh out of the garden with just picle juice on it, or also eating pizzelle cookies with homemade strawberry jam on them. I was also intruduced to dill pickle flavored chips and ketchup flavored chips on that trip. No chips now can compare to those dill pickle chips in that white box with a windmill on it!
That was the first and only place I swam in a lake and had to pick the leeches out from between our toes when we were done, and don't get me started on the mosquitos there! Yowzers!!
It was a trip with so many lasting memories, and I got to do it with my best friend and her amazing family.
Tristian we did not talk as often these last few years, but when we did it was like no time at all had passed I thank you for being such a sweet, loving, caring, and beautiful friend. I pray that you are at peace now and one day I will see you again in Heaven.
Love, Gentri
