Obituary for Frances Martinez (Gonzales)

Born in Valdez, New Mexico to Gaspar and Amelia (Padilla) Gonzales. Frances would like you to know her work on earth is done. The Good Lord has called her home. There, the pay is good and benefits are infinite. She can dance, sing, shop and relax as much as she would like. And the TV will always be at the volume of her choosing. Mom loved the Cripple Creek slot machines, I’m sure she will find them in Heaven.

She will forever watch over those she has gone before. Watching over her husband, sons and daughter, she will continue to love them from Heaven, unconditionally just as she did on earth.

Preceded in death by her parents and infant twin brother and sister. Survived by her husband, Margarito Martinez; children Margarito Martinez, Jr. (Elaine), Gaspar Martinez (Ursula) and Emily Griego (Gary); nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her granddaughter, Angela, great-grandson, Gilbert and son-in-law Gary for all of the tender and loving care that they gave her when she needed it most. She took her last breath in the loving arms of Angela, Gilbert and Gary, Jr.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00PM at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue. Funeral Services will be held October 21st at 10:00 AM at Blunt Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take your family out and make a memory. Create a memory of a wonderful time together and give Frances a toast to a happy journey.

See you on the flipside Mom,
Emily
