Charles Henry Fezatte

Charles "Chuck" Fezatte was born July 12th, 1932. He passed away peacefully November 18th, 2016.

He served in the Army Corp of Engineers from November 1949 to November of 1958. While stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs in 1956, he met Ardith Henkle. They were married six weeks after their first date and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. With the exception of three months in Albuquerque, Chuck lived in Manitou Springs since 1956.

After his honorable discharge from the Army, Chuck held several jobs, such as a police dispatcher for the Manitou Springs Police Department, roofer, electrician, and maintenance technician for several bowling alleys. He also did volunteer work with the Colorado Mounted Rangers.

In 1974, he became a Civil Engineer at Peterson Air Force Base, worked his way up to Electrical Superintendent, and retired in 1987.

Chuck enjoyed tinkering, repairing small devices, and collecting baseball cards. He also enjoyed going to Cripple Creek to play the slot machines.

Chuck was preceded in death by his son Gregory and wife Ardith. He is survived by four of his children: Michael, Roy, Suzie and Timothy, plus seven grandchildren.
