Leonard Richard Gonzales, 66, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on December 5, 2010. Leonard was born on October 4, 1944 in Las Animas, Colorado.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and his son Leonard. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of 44 years; daughter, Mary Angela (Wayne) Higley; 2 sons, Manuel Gonzales and Lee Gonzales; 4 sisters, Margaret Gonzales, Helen (Ben) Vigil, Tina Valdez and Frances (Arthur) Javera; 3 brothers, Nick Gonzales, Jimmy (Linda) Gonzales and Jesse Gonzales; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and many extended family and friends. Leonard loved to spend time with his family and friends, he loved his job and loved to work hard, and he had a real passion for his gardening. He was loved by all and will truly be missed.
At his request cremation has taken place. Private family services are planned.
